What was your first job? I spent four years in the army.

How did you get into accountancy? From an early age I was always good at maths and accounting. I wanted to make a difference and help people.

Why is a business like yours so important? All businesses should use a bookkeeper to help their business grow. A business owner should know at all times how their business is running financially, which in turn helps them to make better business decisions now and for the future.

Before your current job, what were your previous occupations? I spent four years in the army as a clerk and then worked nearly the next 10 years with various accounting firms.

What do your customers most appreciate about your services? A fast, accurate service and attention to detail.

What is the best part of your job? Travelling around seeing a variety of clients and being able to make a difference in the growth of their business.

What advice would you give to anyone considering taking up accountancy? It is a very rewarding career. You need to be focused and enjoy working with numbers.

If you didn’t work in your current job, what job would you like to do? I couldn’t imagine not doing bookkeeping as I find it very rewarding and satisfying.

How do you spend your spare time? As a family man there is nothing more important than spending quality time with my wife and children.
