The Peace of Mind Centre, run by Dayboro psychologist Janet O'Donnell, has relocated to the Strathpine GP SuperClinic.
Psychologist Janet O’Donnell is on the move.
Janet, a clinical and counselling psychologist, is set to relocate her business, Peace of Mind Centre, next week.
From 1 February the Peace of Mind Centre will have a new home at the recently opened GP SuperClinic in Strathpine.
Peace of Mind Centre has operated at Gympie Road at Strathpine since 2004 but Janet has moved down the road to better promote and provide quality psychological services to the community.
“It has been an absolute privilege to be invited into people’s lives for a short time to help them work through difficult periods,” Janet said.
Janet said it was common for people to think they had to be in a bad way to seek assistance, when in reality everyone can benefit from talking to a psychologist at certain times in their lives.
“Sometimes life can be overwhelming,” she said.
“Difficulties at work, problems with family members, stress, money worries – but there are psychological strategies and techniques that may help.”
The Dayboro resident said being part of the new multi-million dollar GP SuperClinic, which opened earlier this month, was “very exciting”.
Janet said the new premises allowed her to continue to provide services within a relaxed and comfortable environment, as well as a relaxation/meditation room.
She will now be able to provide extended consultation hours, including some Saturdays. In keeping with the philosophy of the Strathpine GP SuperClinic, Janet will bulk bill some of her services.
Janet said her future plans included reinstating workshops that were very successful in the early days of the Peace of Mind Centre, to be run after hours to fit in with people’s busy lifestyles.
Peace of Mind Centre’s new address is Level 1, 11/328 Gympie Road, Strathpine, just above the new GP SuperClinic.
