What services does your business offer?  My business focuses on rural fencing, earthmoving and property clearing.

What areas do your clients come from?  Local to greater Brisbane area.

What was your company’s first job?  That was too long ago to remember but my memorable jobs were the refurbishment of the driveway and landscaping of the Samford Catholic Church and work at Madison Park Agistment and Copperfield Agistment at Camp Mountain, and Alicia Franklin Elite Horse Training, at Samford Village.

How did you make your first dollar?  It was in Ireland as a youngster, giving donkey rides to tourists.

How did you get into your current line of work?  I’ve been a country boy from birth and I was brought up in this line of work. My father taught me the ropes.

Why is a business like yours so important?  We offer a service to the community that looks after the need and requirements to great detail. Customer satisfaction is so important to me.

What sort of clients does your business provide services to?  Local residents and other businesses.

Before your current job, what were your previous occupations?  Previously I worked for a large civil engineering company in Brisbane for seven years, and prior to that I was a demolition and earthworks contractor in England for approximately 14 years.

What do your customers most appreciate about your services?  I am reliable and ensure that only the best quality materials are used from our own stocks. We harvest our own timber to ensure that it suits our clients’ needs.

What is the best part of your job?  Seeing my clients’ excited faces when they see the end result of my work.

What advice would you give to anyone considering working in your line of work?  Focus on your client’s requirements and not the easy way out.

If you didn’t work in your current job, what job would you like to do?  I’m happy with what I do so this has never crossed my mind!

How do you spend your spare time?  My partner and I have Collinspark Stock Horses, we are heavily involved in breeding and showing. This takes up most of my spare time.
