Trevor Savage Kinesiology Centre: Trevor brings magic touch to Cashmere

Thursday, 15 July 2010

A renowned naturopath and kinesiologist whose magic touch has helped the careers of some of Australia’s top sporting stars has moved his clinic to Cashmere.

A practicing naturopath, kinesiologist and instructor since 1979 who previously operated out of Aspley and Eatons Hill, Trevor Savage now offers treatments at his clinic located in a tranquil rainforest setting.

Utilising specialised kinesiology programs known as Hyperton-X Sports Kinesiology and Neural Organization Therapy (N.O.T.) around the world for 25 years, Trevor, pictured, has had continued success with treating his clients suffering from many disorders.

“Kinesiology focuses on finding the cause and not just treating the symptom,” Trevor said.

“If you do not find the cause of a person’s problems they may have the problems for many years.”

Trevor said the success of N.O.T. was in finding the cause of the problem, and then fixing it, therefore “enabling the brain and body to be in a better state of balance”.

“Unresolved head injuries and whiplash have been shown to be major factors which may be the underlying cause of many of our presenting health and learning issues today,” he said.

“Most practitioners do not check for this at a consultation and may be missing this important finding.”

Trevor said improved physical and mental performance was an outcome of his therapy, with clients often benefiting in a very short period of time, even after the first visit.

The range of disorders Trevor has successfully treated includes allergies, emotional issues, head injuries, headaches, hormonal problems, muscle pain, phobias, jaw pain, scoliosis and whiplash.

He also has special interest in using his skills to achieve fast results in the treatment of ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and specific learning difficulties.

The Cashmere resident’s healing skills have also been endorsed by Australia’s sporting elite.

He treated Pat Cash to fix his back problem in 1986, before the tennis champion went on to win the Wimbledon championship the following year.

Trevor also worked with swimmer Tracey Wickham prior to her gold medal-winning efforts in the pool at the 1982 Commonwealth Games, as well as the Queensland State of Origin rugby league team the same year.

The Trevor Savage Kinesiology Centre, which has wheelchair access, is at 46 Cashmere Lane, Cashmere Place, Cashmere.  Consultations are for one hour and by appointment only.
