Thursday, 22 March 2012

Name: Wayne Court

Business: Reno Nation

Established: 2009

Based at: Samford area

What services does your business offer?  Through our website or by phone, Reno Nation supplies a large range of hardware, hand tools and power tools direct to the door of trade, business and the DIY enthusiast.

How did you get into your current line of work?  When owner-building our house we quickly realised the inconvenience of having to nip out to the hardware store to get the items we needed.  By the time a round trip was done many hours of productive work was lost. We couldn’t find an online store that suited our needs of having well priced products delivered where we wanted them, so www.RenoNation.com.au was born.

Why is a business like yours so important?  We offer our customers the convenience and value they seek during today’s busy lifestyle. Our online store is open 24 hours, seven days a week, with fast delivery Australia wide and a great returns policy for your piece of mind.

What sort of clients does your business provide services to?  From large hotel chains requiring 500 clothes hooks, the busy city worker needing a power tool, the rural customer that needs a few items to save himself a long trip into town, and the tradie that wants a variety of tools and hardware to get their job done.

What do your customers most appreciate about your services?  Convenience, large product range, great prices, fast delivery and fantastic customer service.

What is the best part of your job?  Receiving great feedback from satisfied customers, and looking forward to starting work each day.

Before your current job, what were your previous occupations?  Aeronautical engineer and engineer for the McLaren Formula One race team.

How did you make your first dollar?  Working for a London film studio, delivering food and drink to the film sets.

If you didn’t work in your current job, what job would you like to do?  Car restoration.

How do you spend your spare time?  Having fun with my family, DIY and working on my kit car.
