What services does your business offer?  All types of signage, including cars, boats, banners and building signs, and decorative spraypainting applications.

What areas do your clients come from?  Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

What was your company’s first job?  Our first job was supply and installing window graphics and decals for a corporate change of image for the National Australia Bank.

How did you make your first dollar?  Picking giant rhubarb stocks for 30 bob a day!  Back-breaking work I can tell you…

How did you get into your current line of work?  I studied at Glasgow School of Art, and always had a passion for artistic creations and signs.

Why is a business like yours important?  A business without a sign… is a sign of no business.

What sort of clients does your business provide services to?  Graphic designers, architects, shopfitters, builders.

What is the most unique job your business has done?  We once built and decorated an exact replica of the planet Venus which was hung from the gaming area of the Treasury Casino.

Before your current job, what were your previous occupations?  Potato picking, mortuary attendant, barman, display merchandiser.

What do your customers appreciate about your services? Quality work, delivered on time, competitive prices.

What is the best part of your job?  Creating a happy, sound relationship with our many clients.

What advice would you give to anyone considering working in your line of work?  Work hard – never underestimate your competitors.

If you didn’t work in your current job, what job would you like to do?  Teacher in Tech College.

How do you spend your spare time?  With family and friends, working in the yard, watching football and relaxing when I am allowed to.
